Proposed Site in Red

J. Milton & Associates has applied to rezone a 1.7 acre site in the Arts & Entertainment District to build a tower with up to 550 units, according to The Real Deal.

The site was purchased for $7.3 million in January 2015 and is located between the nearly completed Canvas Condo and The Filling Station Lofts between NE 16 St and NE 17th St and NE Miami Pl and NE Miami Ct.

Under current zoning, the developer can build up to 36 stories with 852 residential units, but only micro-units. Under new zoning they can build up to 550 units in the range of 750 - 1300 square feet.

Other buildings in the area include the nearly complete Square Station and the under construction Art Plaza.
