MiamiCentral Station Taking Shape

The MiamiCentral Station in Downtown Miami is taking shape since we last looked at the project in November 2016. The elevator shaft for the office building Two MiamiCentral is at 12 stories and will have 190,000 square feet of office space and 180,000 square feet of retail. Meanwhile on the other side, another office building, Three MiamiCentral, has all of its glass installed.

A $205 million loan was just recently secured for both the North and South Towers of the residential portion of the complex. The towers will have 800 rental units.

Service for the Brightline station is expected to start this Summer.

Frost Museum Of Science To Open May 8th

Frost Museum of Science

The Frost Museum of Science is scheduled to open on May 8th of this year, according to The Miami Herald. 

The $305 million museum is located in Museum Park in Downtown Miami next to the PΓ©rez Art Museum of Miami.

Vice Reaches 18th Floor

Vice Construction

The 31 story Vice rental tower in in Downtown Miami is rising quickly since we last looked in October 2016. 

The building with 464 rental units is currently at the 18th floor and at the halfway mark. Construction is progressing on the parking garage and the glass is being installed.

7th Street Apartments Starting To Rise

7th Street Apartments

The 43 story 7th Street Apartments with 450 rental units is starting to rise between NE 1st Street and North Miami Avenue. 

CIM Group purchased part of the land for $28 million, which is included in the Miami Worldcenter site. A $89 million construction loan for the site was received in December 2016.

There will also be a second rental tower with the project that will have 413 rental units. Apartments will range from studios to three bedroom units. 

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2018.

Construction on Paramount Miami Worldcenter has reached the 4th floor.

Since the concrete pour in October 2016, Paramount Miami Worldcenter has reached the 4th floor of the 700 foot building. 

Paramount Miami Worldcenter will have 513 residential units and 50% of the building is in contract. 

Construction is expected to be completed by 2018.

One Thousand Museum Reaches 31st Floor

One Thousand Museum Reaches 31st Floor

Since reaching the 25th floor in November 2016, the 62 story One Thousand Museum is now at the halfway point and has reached the 31st floor. Just a little over a year ago in January 2016, One Thousand Museum was at the 5th floor.

As the windows continue to be installed, the exoskeleton of Zaha Hadid's design is taking shape, which allows to the building to have floor to ceiling windows and not have any interior columns. With 83 units, One Thousand Museum will also have a rooftop helipad. The first since Miami Tower in the 80's.

More progress is happening at 3 Miami Central since we last looked in October 2016.

The windows have have been installed on the back of the building while the front is now beginning to get windows. Parts of the exterior are now being painted. 

3 Miami Central will have 90,000 square feet of office space, 35,000 square feet of retail and 1,100 parking spaces.
