Renderings of a 78 story, 960 foot tower in Brickell have been revealed by The Next Miami. The tower will be reviewed by Miami's Urban Development Review Board next week, but already has been approved by the FAA in August 2016.
Called 18, the building will be designed by architect firm Nichols, Brosch, Wurst & Wolf, who also designed the under construction Avant at Met Square and the recently completed Monarc at Met 3. 18 will be located at 10 SW 8th St where there is a Burger King and shopping plaza. Next to 18 is the under construction Brickell Heights, Solitair Brickell and across the street SLS Lux Brickell and Brickell City Centre.
On the .78 acre site there will be 392 residential units and four levels of retail at 66,618 square feet.
Update: 18 has been approved by the UDRB with hopes to begin construction by mid-2018.
