Aerial View of Bicentennial Park Opening, Before It Was Museum Park

Originally used as the first location of the Port of Miami, Museum Park has evolved over the years. After the Port of Miami moved to Dodge Island, the land was transformed into Bicentennial Park and opened in 1976. The video below is an aerial view of the park, which had two baseball fields and many trees. From 1986 to 1993, Bicentennial Park was used for the Grand Prix of Miami and several music festivals. The Perez Art Museum of Miami was completed next to the park in 2013 before it was transformed in Museum Park. Once Museum Park was completed the Frost Museum of Science opened in 2017.
