A crane has been installed at All Aboard Florida's 3 MiamiCentral and is in the process of going vertical.3 MiamiCentral is located at 160 NW 7th St in Overtown and will have 130,157 square feet of retail, office and commercial space and 1,114 parking spaces.

After starting site work in November 2014, construction is progressing on All Aboard Florida's MiamiCentral. The FAA recently approved One MiamiCentral, which will rise 1,000 feet above sea level that will have 250 hotel rooms, 280 residential units and over 600,000 square feet of office space.

After revealing plans in May, site work has begun on the Downtown Miami All Aboard Florida station called MiamiCentral. 

The nine acre site was formally used as parking lot. The plans for MiamiCentral include residential units, office space and retail. Plans have been submitted to the FAA to include a supertower in the complex that would rise over 1,000 feet. 

All Aboard Florida is also building stations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm that will connect the high speed rail service to Orlando. 

Construction on the MiamiCentral site is expected to begin by the end of the year.

All Aboard Florida Future Site Location

All Aboard Florida revealed plans today for their express line that will connect Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm and Orlando.

The flagship station will be located in Downtown Miami behind Grand Central Park and Government Center. It will have three high rise towers including an 80 story tower.

The private financed station is expected to break ground in the next few months.

Miami-Dade County to Build New Courthouse?

County officials have been talking to All Aboard Florida about building a new courthouse in Downtown Miami that would be public-private according to ExMiami.

The County is currently spending $30 million to renovate the courthouse which includes the the roofs, plaza and facade, but have outgrown the space.

The courthouse was built in 1925 and at one point was the tallest building in Miami. It was added to the U.S National Register of Historical Places in 1989.
