Perricone's Marketplace And Cafe

After 22 years, Perricone's Marketplace And Cafe is closing its Brickell location today. The restaurant will be demolished, after being sold for $16 million, to make way for a 19 story CitizenM Hotel with 252 hotel rooms.

Perricone's Restaurant and Gourmet Market will open at 1700 SW 3rd Ave in April that will have over 5,000 square feet of space.

Construction is progressing on the six buildings built between 1938 and 1953 at the 1.65 acre Collins Park Hotel since we last looked at the project in April 2018.

The façades of the buildings are being restored, including one building that was burned by a fire in 2007. All of the roofs will be connected, with three rooftop pools, four bars, a signature restaurant with 296 hotel rooms.

The Mr. C Hotel Coconut Grove is almost completed and getting ready to open in March.

Construction began on the hotel in August 2017 and topped off December 2017.

The hotel will have a rooftop pool overlooking Biscayne Bay along with a ballroom space on the 5th floor. A Bellini restaurant will also open in the hotel March 15th.

The under construction AC Hotel By Marriott in Midtown Miami has topped off after breaking ground April 2018.

The 7 story hotel will have 153 hotel rooms and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

The Kobi Karp designed AC Hotel is being developed by Aztec Group, 3H Group of Tennessee and Arti Hersi Inc.

Perricone's Marketplace in Brickell will close in a few weeks after first opening in 1996. The property was sold in October 2017 for $16.18 million.

Demolition plans were filed in December 2017 that will make way for a 19 story CitizenM Hotel with 252 rooms.

Perricone’s will move to a nearby location at 1700 SW Third Ave and will open at the end of March.

Demolition plans have been filed for Perricone’s Marketplace and Cafe in Brickell for a new 19 story CitizenM Hotel, according to The Real Deal.

The 10,965 square foot lot was sold in October 2017 for $16.18 million after originally purchased for $725,000 in August 1997.

The CitizenM Hotel Brickell will cost $46 million to build and have 252 hotel rooms at a height of 253 feet.

Demolition has started on the three tower Smart Brickell Tower in West Brickell located at 229 SW 9th Street.

Currently being demolished are low rise apartment buildings and a house that were built between 1925 and 1972.

Habitat Group purchased the 1.23 acre site in June 2017 for $21.6 million.

Smart Brickell will have 170 condos, 150 hotel rooms and 30,000 square feet of retail space, including a spa, sky bar and café.

Groundbreaking is expected early 2019 with completion in 2020.
