Edgewater
1836 Biscayne Boulevard
New plans have been submitted for a 40 story tower at 1836 Biscayne Boulevard and rising 419 feet. The tower would be next First Church of Christ Scientist building that will be preserved.
The building will have 364 rental units with a rooftop pool and ground level retail.
Another design was submitted in January 2015 that had a tower over the existing couch with columns inside.
Fifteen Group paid $14.3 million for the property in November 2014.
Site At 1768 Northeast Second Court
Sapir Corp. along with partners CNMB International and G-Resources are looking to sell a 60,000 square foot site at 1768 Northeast Second Court in Edgewater, according to The Real Deal.
The site was purchased in June 2017 for $33 million after being in contract since July 2016 with the intention to build a 60 story and 40 story tower with 1,200 rental units and 350,000 square feet of office space.
The site is zoned for 1.4 million square feet of space with 735 residential units.
Sapir Corporation is developing the nearly completed 12 story Arte in Surfside.
Island Bay Rendering
Two twin 60 story towers called Island Bay located at 700 NE 24th St in Edgewater have been proposed.
The towers rising 648 feet will be developed by Melo Group and designed by Arquitectonica with 783 residential units.
Island Bay is located next to Biscayne Bay and the under construction Elysee, also designed by Arquitectonica.
There will be a 50 foot set back from the water to create a public walking space along the bay.
The Biscayne Rendering
After being purchased for $5.2 million in January 2018, a 200 room hotel called The Biscayne is coming to 3200 Biscayne Boulevard in Edgewater by Urbanica.
The hotel will have a rooftop pool and bar.
Urbanica also purchased a 18,800 square foot lot at 3001 Biscayne Boulevard in October 2018 for $7.95 million.
Elysee Miami Construction
The 57 story Elysee Miami is close to topping off as construction reaches the 53rd floor. At the end of July, construction was on the 45th floor.
With only 100 residential units, the building started to go vertical in June 2018, and the first glass installed in December 2018.
Developed by Two Roads Development and DW Partners, Elysee is expected to be completed in 2020.

Site Of Aria on the Bay
TBT (August 29, 2014) - Before the 53 story Aria on the Bay was built in Edgewater, a 6 story apartment complex was on the site that was eventually torn down. Demolition began on the building September 2014. Aria on the Bay was eventually completed in May 2018.
Aria on the Bay will be located in the emerging Arts & Entertainment district of Miami at 1770 North Bayshore Drive.
Developed by Melo Group and designed by Arquitectonica, Aria on the Bay will be a 53 story tower with 647 residential units. 40,000 square feet will be offered for retail, commercial and office space. The building will offer views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach and Margaret Pace Park is right in front.
Currently the tenants of the previous buildings have been evacuated, but demolition has not yet started on the old apartment buildings. Homeless have been living in the evacuated apartments.
According to exMiami, construction will not begin until February 2015 and construction is expected to be completed by 2016.
Elysee Construction
The 57 story Elysee tower in Edgewater is getting closer to topping off as construction reaches the 45th floor. In May, construction reached the 34th floor.
In June 2018, construction started going vertical on the building after the foundation pour.
